Women are unique because of their special physical anatomy, biorhythms and reproductive health.   That’s why Tift Regional Medical Center provides a host of quality medical services that are specialized for females with a focus on comfort and care.

With a 10-bed surgical unit, the Elene Dorminy Women’s Pavilion accommodates female patients who have general, abdominal, breast, gynecological and related surgeries. Our surgeons also offer some of the only minimally-invasive gynecological procedures available in South Georgia, which means smaller incisions and quicker recovery times.

By offering female surgery patients a place of their own, the nursing staff can better understand a woman's special needs and can focus on the highest attainable level of recovery.  All rooms are warm, inviting, comfortable and functional.

Family-focused Approach to Childbirth

Pregnancy and maternity are significant milestones in a woman's life. A special feature of The Elene Dorminy Women's Pavilion is family-focused childbirth involving single-room maternity care, allowing you to labor, deliver and spend postpartum time in a warm, alluring and comfortable room with well-qualified medical attention.

To streamline hospital-admitting procedures, the Women's Pavilion has its own registration area for any health-related service during pregnancy.  With consultation from your physician and nurses, family members or friends can be with you during delivery. Newborns can either stay in your room or in the nursery.

Providing Counseling and Guidance

Preparing for motherhood can be a challenging task, so that's why the Elene Dorminy Women's Pavilion offers the Baby Talk series, featuring classes on childbirth, breast feeding and family issues. All programs are held in the OB classroom in The Elene Dorminy Women's Pavilion.

Women's Imaging Center

Attention all women:  Close your eyes and relax.  Picture yourself lounging in a soft robe, surrounded by soothing colors and gorgeous original artwork.  Soft music is playing in the background as you look around, eyeing the cute French boutique look of the room.  Think you're in a spa?  It's actually the brand new Women's Imaging Center.

The Women's Imaging Center houses the absolute latest in imaging technology. Mammography, DEXA bone density scanning, stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound are now all in one central location for women who need these diagnostic services. All of the mammography equipment is digital, so there won't be a long wait to make sure images are clear and readable.
