Ruth’s Cottage and The Patticake House presented Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) with the 2010 Champions of Hope award, given each year to an the organization or person who has made significant and continuous improvements to the lives of victims affected by domestic and sexual abuse as well as child sexual and physical abuse.
Ellen Eaton, TRMC’s Director of Human Resources, recently rotated off the board of directors of Ruth’s Cottage and the Patticake House. Past president and board member Patti Stafford recognized Ms. Eaton’s contributions. “Ellen has volunteered hundreds of hours, assisting with critical issues regarding the management of both victim service programs,” said Ms. Stafford. “Ellen’s leadership has been invaluable to the growth in services to victims in our circuit and beyond. Because of her compassion for victims, Ellen has dedicated time and resources ensuring our personnel team reached its full potential as service providers. We hate to lose Ellen, quite truthfully. She’s been an asset to our program in countless ways and will be impossible to replace.”
