Learn how to cope with depression and anxiety at free lecture

Join family physician Robert Hawes, M.D. with Affinity Clinic for a free lunch-and-learn lecture titled "Are Anxiety and Depression Tearing You Apart?" on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 12 noon, at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center.

Depression is a common but serious illness. The vast majority of those who seek help for depression do get better with treatment. Intensive research has resulted in the development of medications, psychotherapies and other methods to treat people with this disabling disorder.

Dr. Hawes, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine, will discuss symptoms of depression, coping skills and available treatments and will take questions from the audience.

This free event includes a complimentary lunch. Seating is limited and registration is required. Register in the Calendar of Events or call 229-353-6318.
